It’s near the end of the month. Time to see what I’ve used up. Only 3 items this month. It’s an under-achievement compared to last month’s empty list.
There are various about-me tags in the blogsphere over the years. I’ve drafted quite a few versions but never publish them. It’s either the questions are, in my opinion, too intrusive into my privacy or I ended up revealing too much.
Since I’m still lacking photos to complete some of my review posts I thought I’ll just do a short-and-sweet version to fill up this blog and to let me readers to know something about me.
One thing I try to do returning from hiatus is to update at least once a week. I failed. There are a few drafts in the work but lacking photos.
I have no excuse since I have a little photography corner setup that takes care of ‘no sunlight’ days. Blame it on my insomnia. Blame it on my dry lips. Blame it on my bad skin…
Putting the excuses aside, I decided to compile some photos from my Instagram for the last 2 months. Feel free to follow me and stalk bits of my life.
You see lots of my lips on Instagram. It’s no secret that I love lipsticks. Since I don’t wear makeup much nowadays my lips becomes the only part I can show off.
I was quite excited to see Revlon introduced Matte Balm into its jumbo lip crayon family. I love the convenience and ease of use of jumbo lip crayons and I used to live in matte lip era and loved everything matte. It took me quite a while to accept glossy lips trend. But after so many years seeing shiny lips all over the place, I’m delighted to see various brands coming out with matte lip products.
Revlon’s Colorburst Matte Balm is said to be infused with triple butter complex of shea, mango and coconut butter and gives a burst of matte color with a balm-like feel.
Retailed at A$17.95, I got this from Chemist Warehouse a few months ago when it was 50% off all Revlon products.
It has the feature of typical jumbo lip pencils – twisted up product and no sharpening required.
I love nude lips, but I can’t wear ‘real’ nude lips because I look sick and dead in them. My kind of nude lips are those with pinkish or rosy tones. Here’s one of those perfect products that gives my kind of nude lips.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss, that comes in a sleek matte black case with Kate’s signature. This is part of a spring collection released back in 2012, with shades picked by Kate herself.
I picked this up at Priceline a while ago when all Rimmel London products (or just lip or selected products?) were 50% off. It normally RRP at A$11.95. It is a bit pricier than regular Lasting Finish Lipsticks, which RRP at A$9.95. I haven’t tried the regular line so I can’t compare them but I assume they’re of the same texture and quality.
The color I picked up is #19. I wish there are names associate with shades. I tend to remember names than numbers.
Close up look of the color.
