watermelon frost

ever since i was young, i've been using watermelon frost if i have mouth ulcer. it's instant fix! (well, almost...)

of course i always refer by its chinese name 西瓜霜. i could never remember what it's called in english. when i bought it from chinese grocery (i guess you can only get it from chinese groceries) it was behind the counter. it was manned by staff who doesn't speak chinese. she had no idea what i was talking about even after explaining what it was for. had to wait for someone who speaks chinese.

i hope i'll remember what it's called now.

other things my mom used to put in my mouth include some bluish purplish liquid. i hated it because it tastes yucky and it makes your mouth blue. i don't know what it is. it's sort of like that red liquid thingy you applied when you have wounds. of course nowadays we don't use it anymore. the best way to treat wound is to clean it and leave it.

i like the new packaging. i haven't used it for many many years. (thank goodness for that! having mouth ulcer is not very glamorous!) the last i remember came in a small tube. i used cotten bud to scoop out the powder and apply. it was messy.

with the new packaging, you just direct the nozzle at the affect area and squeeze the bottle. the powder is sprayed out to the affected area. less messy. and more hygiene.

Ouch sounds painful and I thought mouth blister was worst enough. I normally get mouth blister during winter time. I hope you'll get better but I really hate to apply anything in my mouth that tastes awful.
