life after gfc

i'm talking about google friend connect. not global financial crisis.

by now you must have heard that google decided to spring clean and one of the things that'll be removed is gfc on non blogger sites. this site is a non-blogger site.

if you are reading this blog via gfc, please take a moment to subscribe to rss feed, follow my twitter, subscribe via bloglovin', and / or like my facebook page. i have also tweaked the sidebar to include these links.

if you use any other services not mentioned, please let me know in comments.

gfc is used only because 99% of beauty blogs use it. and beauty blogs seems to be the only type of blogs i read use it.

google tried to replace gfc with google+ profile / page. i'm not so keen on that. i can't and don't see how it replaces gfc. they're completely different!

i was quite excited about google plus initially, until it tried to enforce real name policy and suspended one of my accounts (not to mention there are no way to get it unsuspended). many people already know my name and i prefer it to be know privately. i don't like my name publicly available all over the internet. that's why people hate facebook and google plus just want to be another facebook?

it's a pathetic move to get people using g+ since it's not taking off as expected. hello google, you're killing it with your stupid real name policy and trying to be another facebook!

i have created a google plus page for this blog, but i have no plan to use it actively. not yet. it really depends how active others will be. feel free to add me anyway. :)
