st ives olive cleanser and scrub

st ives fresh face olive cleanser and olive scrub.

my skin has become dry before winter started and my current cleansers seems too drying. i was on a quest to look for something more moisturizing.

in general these products are gentle. do not dry out my skin. a plus.

the cleanser, perhaps is too gentle. i don't feel my skin clean. the smell isn't great but bearable.

it'd be nice if the cleanser is even more moisturizing. i noted that the product website has the word 'moisturizing' but my cleanser doesn't have this word on the label. not sure if they are the same or i took the wrong product off the shelf.

the scrub is... also gentle. too gentle for my taste. it doesn't leave a thoroughly cleansed feeling like the apricot scrubs do. but since my skin is really dry these products have to hibernate. i'm still trying to like this scrub.

cynthiaI watched one of hollyannaeree youtube stating the over excessive washing your face tends to make your face dryer and I totally agree with her. At one point I was washing my face like crazy and that it over dried my face with flaky skins falling out. I'm doing minimal now like exfoliating once a week only.

i used to wash a lot during my oily and acne days because i was told my face was dirty and needed to clean whenever possible. i ended up with more acnes!!
nowadays, i wash my face 2x daily. morning with warm water only. night with cleanser. i really love exfoliating (it's addictive!) but i'm cutting it down too.
