nivea expert lift night cream

nivea expert lift night cream. normally retails around aud$25. i got it when it was reduced to $15 back in feb from priceline.

expert lift range is anti-sagging skin care system. apparently for more mature skin. i got it because the price was reduced and i was looking for something moisturizing for my dry skin. being moisturizer developed for mature skin, i guess it should have some better-than-normal moisturizing property.

nivea expert lift night cream - inside the jar

inside the jar. it's foil-covered. the consistency is creamy and thick.

what it claims

(copieda and pasted straight off from the website)

With regular use the Expert Lift system combines instant and long term effects to help give you noticeably tighter, redefined and smoother skin.

result:

  • Noticeably tighter, redefined and smoother skin
  • Facial contours are improved
  • Relaxed and rested skin in the morning

user experience

the product is creamy, thick, and 'rich'. my thirsty dry skin loves it.

i also felt some kind of warmth when it's applied. i'm unsure if i like it that way.

what's bad about it? i don't like product coming in jars. even though i do clean my hands before application, i still worry about the product getting contaminated. it's also fragranced. the typical smell you get from nivea products. not something i like.

do i get the promising result? though i do not fall into 'mature skin' range, my skin is more sagging than my younger days. i do not feel nor see any firmness. as with the promise about improving facial contour, i'm not sure what it means nor what to expect. as with relaxed and rested skin in morning... i'm always a late sleeper and never have enough sleep.

i believe any visible tightening and firming can only be done via some kind of procedures. it's not something achievable just applying creams on your face. if this is something you're after, you get getter result from botox or any surgical procedures.

i'm just treating it as a rich moisturizer. if you don't expect the promised result, it's a good moisturizer keeping my dry skin happy.

will i re-purchase? probably when my skin reach the mature stage. maybe i'll notice the promised result then.
