a while ago i reviewed some skin cares i bought from daiso. they didn't work for my dry skin. but for the price of aud$2.80 per item, i'm willing to try more. they have shelves and shelves of skin cares to choose from!

here are what i'll be reviewing in this post.
as usual, everything are in japanese with no or limited english. so it's a trial and error thing. i won't be able to tell you much about the product.
aloe toner
i got quite a few toners since getting the first one from daiso. prior to that toner hasn't been part of my skin care routine for a long time. i just can't believe i could live without toner all those years.

this is the 2nd toner i tried after using the rice bran toner reviewed in previous post.

i bought it because of 'aloe' and i recognized the kanji, which sort of means containing natural moisturizing ingredients. exactly what i need for my dry skin.
it's just a normal toner to me. refreshing, yes. moisturizing, no. am i disappointed? well... for that price i didn't expect much. it's affordable and triable.
unfortunately i only used it a couple of times before it was accidentally dropped to the floor. the plastic bottle cracked and the toner grandually leaked to emptiness... :(
q10 toner and lotion

i bought it because of the word q10. some skin care products even used it to market its products. i don't know too much detail what this coenzyme does. all i know is, its good! :p

oh, and the kanji printed says for dry skin. exactly what i need.
however, this doesn't go with my dry skin. it's just like the other 2 toners i tried. it's just... another... toner.
the lotion is very thin and milky. it feels nice when applied but my dry skin is so thirsty and absort every single moisturizing agent it has. my skin felt tight immediately afterwards.
i did find a good solution to make them work better. use them together. i don't mean pre-mixing them. wet the cotton pad with toner followed by few drops of lotion and pad on the skin like you do with a toner. there, a moisturizing toner! of course i need to moisturize my face afterwards.
night cream

the cream comes in a very tiny jar. this, is the only thing that agree with my dry skin!

it's very thick cream. even on my dry skin only very small amount is needed. this is the only cheap cream that my dry skin doesn't complain.
however, i can use it on my cheeks. the skin on my forehead sometimes breaks out. not very serious. but those tiny little white heads are annoying. takes a few day to clear.
neck gel

neck is an important part of skin care routine. it shows your age! however many women neglect it. including myself.

it's a light weight gel like texture. it's cool when touching the skin and absorbs immediately.
i've been using the neck gel religiously for the past month, hoping it will minimize, if not erase, the distinctive line on my neck. nope. skin texture still feel the same. probably 1 month is not enough to tell what it's supposed to do? not to say i don't even know what it's supposed to do...
but the skin on the neck area does feel nice and cooling with this applied.
the verdict?
another lot of affordable products. not much pain if they do not work. at least 1 of them works, well sort of.
