lancome moisturizer

lancome absolue premium bx advanced replenishing cream spf15. what a wordy name!

this is 15ml size comes with gwp. no, i didn't buy anything from lancome. it's way out of my budget. my mil bought something from lancome. as usual, she doesn't like the gwps and gave it to me.

15ml is quite a good size to try. most samples that comes with gwps are so small and good for 2 or 3 applications. you can hardly tell effectiveness with such stingy amount.

i've tried it when i first got it, but i decided to save it for winter. but i started earlier than expected, since mid-feb, because my skin starts to feel dry before winter comes. oh, the joys of aging!

lancome moisturizer

the texture is quite smooth and creamy. if you don't have dry skin, you'll probably find it too heavy. my dry skin loves it.

i can't find much information online. the closest i can find from lancome's website is this. if they are the same product, this is what it claims - improves elasticity and firmness, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, increase clarity and smoothness.

first of all, i don't like things that come in a jar. i don't like dipping my finger into products. i have long finger nails so product always get caught. i also don't want to think how much germs got transferred from my finger into the product!

back in the days when i was quite crazy about skin care, i had a spectula for this purpose. but haven't been touching skin cares from expensive brands for many years, i don't know where it is now.

i've been using this every morning since mid-feb. i love the texture. i love the fragrance. it feels like a nice nourishing moisturizer. it goes well with my dry skin.

however i do not feel any firmness. my fine lines are still there. not sure what it means 'increase clarity'. my skin hasn't been so bad so i can't benchmark if there are any improvements.

will i buy it? if i win lottery. i'm not sure what's the rrp and don't bother to research. it's going to be out of my budget anyway. it seems to be doing smilar job to my less than $10 cetaphil intensive moisturizer.

i do miss the days when i didn't have to worry about budgets and bought so many different serums and creams without second thoughts. have you seen michelle phan's skin care video? some people think she's outrageous using that many things on her face. i was once like that lol. in my 20s, worried about wrinkles and tried anything anti-wrinkle and preventive. i do miss those days when we worry about things years ahead of us. and when we reach that age we have other things to worry about.
