i should have waited. not long after rba raised interest rate which drove aussie dollars up up up. at peak it was us$.94 to aud$1.

but still, with this price, i can only buy 2 or at most 3 products from department stores. i got 12 items!

i chose 2 foundation colors. fairly light neutral and fairly summer. lighter for winter and darker for summer. but the fairly summer that came with this order seems darker than the sample i ordered last time.

to be honest, after so many sample orders i still can't decide which is my perfect match. i ordered a color from the olive family last time. it's ok. then i went back to looked at my samples and decided fairly light neutral is it. if applied 1/2 the face with each, you can't tell much difference.

everyday minerals has revamped its website. it looks impressive but it's not too functional. i like the very original site (2 versions ago) where all colors are layout at-a-glance, making it easier to compare. foundation colors were ordered from lightest to darkest. now i have to guess which color is lighter than which and which is darker than which. the description isn't very helpful.

the value-for-money kits are gone with the old site. now you have to buy certain number of items to get discounts. that's why i bought 12 items to get the maximum 45% discount. it's not much saving if you just want to buy a few items.

they have also changed the sample kits. in the past you can choose your desired colors. now the kits are pre-made. if you really want to try out a particular color, you need to pay for it.

but... it's still quite cheap. same products with same ingredients at fraction of the price tags at department and even just drugstores! and the products are great!
