last week i bought 2 red lipsticks, but only talked about 1 lipstick because the other one went missing. the one went missing has turned up. somehow it was misplaced in the wrong drawer.

of course i have to wear it asap! revlon matte lipstick in fabulous fig. i love this color! it's deep warm red. you can see the swatch in my previous post. though i previously described it red with brown tone, it's not too brown on my lips.

if you're afraid of wearing red lipsticks because of the attention it gets, you should give this a try.

look of the day

it's been raining all week. cloudy and gloomy. there's not enough sunlight to take good pictures of my looks. most of them turned out too dark.  so i had to cheat.

well, i always adjust the color and brightness of my photos slightly. but i had to make major adjustment in this photo so that i look brighter, and paler.

fyi i use gimp. it's a free software! i can't afford photoshop. photoshop users will not agree it's photoshop alternative. but for a poor woman who'd rather spend her money on lipsticks, this is good enough to suit i need. :p

the lip color looks a bit off because of the brightness adjustment. but you can still see it. can you? hmmm... who am i kidding? /sigh

i will do a more accurate post later.

for the eye makeup i tried to do this look again. i tried a thicker line this time. but it's still not thick enough. the liner is still not showing up. need more practice.

i went for a job interview in the evening. i tried to keep the makeup as minimal as possible. so that i won't run into the risk looking a mess by the end of the day. with almost nothing on my face, stronger lips lift the look. i was going to wear really red but it's too 'high profile' for the event. fabulous fig is more 'low profile' and more suitable for the event.

i'd consider it a dream job. wish me luck!
