the old revlon colorstay lipcolor

these are first generation colorstay lipsticks. if i remember correctly, these were the first of the colorstay products released 10+ years ago.
they were my favorite in those days. back in those days when dark and matte lips was the look. they were in different shades of browns. i was crazy about browns back then.
no color swatch because it's too dark to take pics for the color to show up correctly. not that any of my swatch pics show up true colors from the crappy phone cam. since this is a discontinued product, i doubt anyone is interested.
the color, as the name suggests, really stays. but have to keep away from oily food because that's what removes the lipcolor. the color peels and flakes when in contact with something oily.
they were neglected since glossy lips became the look in the late '90s. i didn't throw them away because i knew i may fell in love with them again sometimes later. surprisingly most lipsticks this old starts to show signs of aging, ie smell bad, but these have no smell at all! they probably have lots of preservatives... >.>
note: makeup has its shelf life, which also depends how it's being handled. just because i'm using an old product doesn't mean it's a right thing to do. if you want to use a product past its lifetime, use at your own risk. makeup is just a hobby and i'm by no means an expert. for more information, ask google.
look of the day
on my lips was revlon colorstay lipcolor in cocoa. the lightest brown shade i have in the collection. i quite like this color for a breezy autumn look, tho the weather is hardly breezy at all. it's too warm for autum today!
it was an unintentional strong brow look today. i just randomly picked up a brow pencil and it's black. it's another very old product with names faded.
though you probably can't see it, i wore sn cream eyeliner in tarnish. it a dark greyish metal in color. i haven't worn it for a while because the staying power sucks. after watching some makeup tutorials on youtube, i have learned to 'set' it with similar color eyeshadow. and it works!
products used
edm mineral powder foundation in fairly light neutral.
david jones cream concealer in light / medium.
black brow pencil.
sn cream liner in tarnish. set with hard candy eyeshadow in platinum, a light grey. just line the top lids. keep the bottom lids bare.
rimmel sexy curves mascara.
mac blush in mocha.
revlon colorstay lipcolor in cocoa.

omg i used to love those old colorstay lipcolors. i remember the color i used was some sort of dark pink or chocolate color. that was the bomb!! lol :D 
I think I remembered the first generation colorstay lipsticks. I remembered that I like the long and skinny tube, additionally I got a plummy color and used religious until the tube was gone. I think I was more dedicated using my make ups when I was younger. As of now I leave things stored away that are not use for few years.
