silk natural lipsticks

lipsticks from my silk naturals orders – nectar, berry nice and hot blooded. they are my recent love.

they call it lip gloss. to me gloss is something that comes in wands form. these are in stick form. if you have seen the skinny lipsticks from burt's bees, that's about the same size.

the colors tested at the back of my hand:

please excuse the blurriness. i'm not a good photographer and somehow iphone doesn't take good close up shots.

they are glossy when applied. the glossiness wears off as the hours go by. but the color still stains the lips.

they are very moisturizing. i can skip lip balms which is a must with normal lipsticks. moisturizing and staying power don't go together. these days i'm not after staying power. i want to keep reapplying so i can use them up more quickly!

and because they are moisturizing, they are soft. don't twist too much product up or they may go too soft and you'll have problem twisting back, leaving some mess.

the colors

nectar is a clone from clinique's black honey, one of the most popular lip colors. it's sheer, reddish and brownish. very natural. i had one long ago (and was lost!) i can't really remember what it was like hence i can't compare. but from memory, they are quite similar.

berry nice is a bobbi brown raspberry clone.  it's a pinkish plumish color. perfect look for the spring! i don't have bb lipsticks because it's quite expensive here so i can't compare.

hot blooded looks a bit orangey in the above pic. it's in fact is a redish color that you can wear every day yet doesn't shout look at me!

if you are ordering

it's appreciated if you could put down in note when you order that you are referred by coco [at] prettymom.org so i can earn some reward points. :)
