makeup

if you haven't read my previous reviews of the brushes, you may be interested to read my initial review and part 1 of sigma makeup brushes review.

sigma makeup medium angle shading brush

ss275 medium angled shading brush. this is my favorite brush. i always thought it's my lack of skill to properly applying darker color on the crease or to create a good outer v. this brush has made such applications perfect!

sigma makeup duo fibre brush

ss187 duo fibre brush. another of my favorite brush. it can be used to apply blush or apply liquid foundation. in fact i prefer using this brush to apply foundation more than the foundation brush.

my first encounter of this kind of brush was at a makeover at laura mercier's counter. the makeup artist used it to apply blush and my cheeks were beautifully colored. but the brush cost something like $50+. i tried to look for cheaper alternatives but they're not as dense or the price does not justify.

this brush has some fallout problem initially.  it settles down after a few washes.

sigma makeup large angle contour brush

ss168 large angled contour brush. this is also my favorite! i use bronzer as contouring my cheeks with this brush. love the sunken cheek look.

the angle contour brushes

my only angled contour brush was by the body shop that i purchased many years ago. i was told i had big face and needed to contour my cheek to make my face appear smaller and skinnier. but i was awful trying to make that sunken cheek look. so i rarely used this brush.

once again, this sigma brush proves that it's not my skill, it's the tools! when put them side by side, the comparision is so obvious. no wonder i couldn't do it properly!

there may be part 3 of the review since i haven't used all the brushes yet.

overall i'm quite pleased with what i have used so far. the odor on some brushes is not so offputting after many washes. i'm quite religious with washing my brushes every weekend now.
