i vowed i should stop buying makeup for a while. i broke it. when you see prices marked down, it's irresistable. you hear them calling, bring me home, bring me home... they're like magnets!

one of the things i bought was maybelline color sensational lipcolor in let me pink. retails at aud$15, marked down to $12.

this product comes with 4 color groups. pink, plum, red and naturals (brown). i've been eyeing on the reds and the browns. even though let me pink comes from the pink color family, it's more plum than pink. the above pic was taken near the window with late afternoon sunlight. it looks more red than the actual color.

i was going to choose a pinker color. but it's autumn here. this color matches the season.

usually maybelline lipsticks don't appeal to me. i don't like the cheap packaging. it's not something i'd like to put in my lipstick case and taken out to retouch. this is one of the better designs. though it seems a bit bulky. it's also fragranceless, which is a plus.

i like the creamy moisturizing texture. lip balm not required.

look of the day

the lipcolor on me, only single layer of color. it's quite pigmented, though it looks lighter in the pic.

on my brows 'glamorous' brow stencil was used. it's the thinnest in the pack. it looks less ridiculous on me than the others. my colleagues must be wondering what was i doing to my thick strong brows the whole last week when i was testing out the different stencils. i know i looked somewhat hideous. it's part of playing and experiencing makeup looks.

borjois duochrome eyeliner in voilet rose. fill from lashline to the crease. blend. also used it to line the bottom eyes.

rimmel soft kohl eye pencil in jungle green on the root of top lashline. just filled the center above the pupils.

rimmel sexy cursves mascara. this is another new purchase (guilty guilty guilty...)

mac blush in mocha.
