rosy romance

makeup

it's australia day today. i was going to do something green and gold but i just can't think of a good green and gold shades and combination that will look good on me.

i really like the romantic look i did the other day so i decided to play with another pink look with my new toy.

last weekend i bought bloom eye paint in rose. it was on the sales stash at david jones. marked down from aud$22 to $6. rose was the only color that was marked down this low. the others were $16.

i always thought bloom's product are overpriced. consider it's australian brand, it's price range is around $25 to $30, about the price range of revlon and clinique, which are imported brands! the quality is not that exceptional that worth me spending so much on it. i only buy when it's on sale.

bloom eye paint in rose and swatch

bloom eye paint in rose. it's shimmery dark pink. it's not as creamy as other cream based eyeshadows. i squeezed a small amount at the back of my hand to apply and was thinking about using the leftover on my lips. by the time i finished doing the whole face, it's dried up.

however the staying power seems amazing. if you know me, nothing ever stays on my lids. they all crease badly after a few hours. after 5 hrs it has not creased!

bloom eye paint in rose on my eye lid

the color is a bit darker than the pic. it's quite shimmery. the color soften up after much blending and padding.

final look

the final look. you can't really see the pink on my lid because it's folded inside when eyes are opend. it looks natural in photo but the eyes were a bit dramatic in real life because the top liner was a bit too thick.

perhaps i'd look better with a pink color lips, like with my current favorite sn's very berry. it's in my handbag and i was too lazy to get it.

items used

prep the face as normal with moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation and concealer.

silk naturals brow powder light brunette on brows.

bloom eye paint in rose on the lids.

edm cotton tale (greyish white) to blend out the pink and on the brow bone.

eyeliners can be optional. i used laura mercier carvier eyeliner on the lashline to make my invisible lash look fuller. ane laura mercier eye pencil in black extreme to line the top lids.

australis chubbie eye, cheek, lip pencil in silver ice (pearly white) at the inner corner of the eyes and line the lower lid.

silk naturals blush in charming. love this pink blush!

origins lip gloss in pink dawn. this looks like clear gloss after applied on my lips.
