I love nude lips, but I can’t wear ‘real’ nude lips because I look sick and dead in them. My kind of nude lips are those with pinkish or rosy tones. Here’s one of those perfect products that gives my kind of nude lips.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss, that comes in a sleek matte black case with Kate’s signature. This is part of a spring collection released back in 2012, with shades picked by Kate herself.
I picked this up at Priceline a while ago when all Rimmel London products (or just lip or selected products?) were 50% off. It normally RRP at A$11.95. It is a bit pricier than regular Lasting Finish Lipsticks, which RRP at A$9.95. I haven’t tried the regular line so I can’t compare them but I assume they’re of the same texture and quality.
The color I picked up is #19. I wish there are names associate with shades. I tend to remember names than numbers.
Close up look of the color.
It is very creamy and glides on smoothly. On my good lips day I don’t need a lip balm prior to application and my lips do not feel drying over time if I don’t blot the color.
It is also very pigmented.
Best of all, it doesn’t have the bubble gum scent that most Rimmel London lipsticks have. It has very faint scent that’s almost like nothing.
This is a pinkish brown in color. It’s more brownish in person. On my lips it’s my kind of perfect nude. This reminds me of Clinique’s lipstick in Pink Chocolate and MAC lipstick in Twig, which were my perfect nudes. I’m not saying they’re dupes. I wish I still have these lipsticks so I can compare the colors.
It has a nice sheen on application that lasted for about an hour or so and gradually lost its luster, but the color stays and still looks good.
Being creamy, do not expect long lasting power and the color will wear off slowly but not completely until food.
Blotting will give a matte finish and last longer, but will feel drying in cold dry winter months and it’s best to prep the lips with lip balms beforehand.
Like: Creamy. Pigmented. The color!
