Another brand added product to join the jumbo lip crayon family – Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm. Wow, what a mouthful name!

These are part of the Colour Rush Lip & Nail collection by Rita Ora. Product featured in this post is part of the lip collection and I will post about the nail polishes at a later date.

There are total of 6 shades – Give Me a Cuddle (candy pink), Keep Mauving (dusty rose pink), Rumour Has It (fuchsia), The Redder The Better (crimson), On Fire (coral) and Drive Me Nude (neutral).

3 of these shades will be reviewed in this post.

Like all jumbo lip crayons I like the twist-up, no-sharpening and easy-to-apply and easy-to-carry features.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm - Rumour Has It, The Redder The Better, Keep Mauving - Swatches

As the name suggests, these 3 colors are very intense. You get good color payoff with just single swipe. While these 3 colors are very pigmented, bright and colorful when swatched on my arm, Keep Mauving is close to natural tone on my lips.

The consistency is very creamy, and glides on smoothly and feels like a balm when applied. While my lips will feel somewhat hydrated initially, because my lips are very dry at the moment, they start to feel drying after an hour or so. It’s still best to apply a lip balm before application if you have very dry lips.

It’s not as glossy as lip glosses but has a nice sheen when applied, which will slowly lost its luster in about an hour to almost semi-matte finish.

While it’s quite pigmented when applied, the color intensity doesn’t last all day. The color will fade slowly and gradually but will not disappear completely. Blotting will help the color last longer but will lost the sheen.

Scent-wise it’s so faint it’s barely noticeable.

The only problem I have is the color bleeds after a few hours. It’s not a major problem since the color isn’t as intense in a few hours time, but this may be annoying if you’re fuzzy about looking perfect. The problem can be minimized with blotting. Bleeding is not so obvious with Keep Mauving because it’s looks quite natural on my lips.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm - Rumour Has It

If you like fuchsia, you will like Rumour Has It. It’s bright and colorful.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm - The Redder The Better

It’s quite rare that lipsticks in the affordable range has true red. The Redder The Better is very red.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm - Keep Mauving

As stated above, Keep Mauving looks natural on me with hint of mauve tone. It’s one of those my-lips-but-better shade. This has the least staying power out of the 3.

Bright and bold lips wearing fuchsia lips with Rumour Has It and red lips with The Redder The Better.

I love these 2 colors! As I don’t wear much makeup on my face nowadays these are simple and perfect to glam up a look with minimal makeup. Or it’s all you need for an easy day-to-night transformation. I didn’t blot my lips for the above photos but I usually blot my lips after application for longer staying power and to prevent bleeding.

RRP at A$12.95, these are one of the cheapest jumbo lip crayons in Australian market and the quality and performance is value for money! As usual you can pay less if you shop around and can wait for discounts, which happens from time to time.

Like: Affordable. Creamy. Easy to use. The colors.

Dislike: Slight bleeding with the intense colors (but can be minimized with blotting).
