i only started using loose powder eye shadow more regularly since i discovered everyday minerals. they used to have this really good value kit that you can choose any eye colors in sample size for $17. the kit is no longer available. individual sample size costs $2.50. that is in US$.
many brands come out with powdered eye shadows. but they can't beat the price you get from most online stores. even the cheapest brand.

revlon is one of the brands that comes up with loose powder eye shadow, called soft on the eyes sheer loose powder a few seasons ago. it was retailed $24.95. when i can get 10 different colors for around that price (that is after the exchange rate), why should i spend that much on only 4 colors?
earlier this year, revlon there were some big mark downs. they always do it around x'mas / new year period. it was marked down to $14. my colleague bought one and thought she got it at a very good price. however it didn't attract me. i can get more beautiful colors at better price online!
then a month or so ago, it was marked down again. this time to $5. ok, this time it is irresistable! i already have similar colors, but i just had to get it!

i chose head in the clouds.
i like the packaging. you can carry it around. see the 2 rectangles between the brush and the eye shadow? you can mix colors there.
the brush doesn't work as well as my other brushes. it's expected. i can carry this around. i use it for the convenience.
as with colors, it's called sheer loose powder. it's just like the name. very sheer. don't expect intense colors. it's good for day look where you only want some hint of color.
i leave this in the office. very often i skip putting on eye makeups to speed up my morning beauty routine. this set comes handy when i need a bit of colors to brighten my eyes.
