revlon sandstorm

one of my favorite – revlon eyeshadow quad in sandstorm. very pretty shimmery (yet not overly shimmery) neutral colors perfect for everyday wear. wear each individual colors alone or mix-and-match.

from the packaging you can tell it's old. i bought it many years ago. can't remember how far back. when the colors are 'safe' you can use them forever!

i usually use this quad more on fall / winter. in summer / spring i prefer something more vibrant and colorful.

Ooh, I've been trying more colors these days, I'll have to go try out this revlon quad. I recently got a sephora pink with glitter eye shadow and although I kind of like it, the glitter does end up on my cheek after a while. Maybe that is a look like your makeup guy suggested! I also tried the sephora lipstick and like it. It has a nice smell (nothing fake or chemical) and a bit of sparkle. I use a BB cream as a skin base and a friend recommend bronzer as a blush. I am trying it but I think I prefer something more peachy/rosy for cheeks. I also got this green eye shadow powder in a bottle with a stick from victoria secret. I know, not the first place that you would think of getting makeup, but it is so convenient... kind of like a nail polish bottle except it is powder inside and the applicator is on the cap. Green really seems to be in now, but I feel more comfortable in the taupes for everyday. My friend loves benefit makeup and I got the benefit lipstick in "good to go" and it is a very neutral color for dress-down, jeans and bringing the kids to school. Another friend swears by mac lipstick but the mac lipstick I bought got a big crack in the cover after less than 1 month. Not doing mac lipsticks again.

i don't know if this quad or colors still exists. but i think you can find similar colors since these colors are quite basic.

sometimes i used bronzer as blush too! well that's the only use i can think of since i dont' like the 'sun kissed look'. i'm typical asian who likes pale skin. on 'full face makeup' i use bronzer as contour here and there.

i don't 'swear' by mac lipsticks, but my mac lipsticks last forever! never had any problems! the color selection is so huge. when there are colors you don't think look good on you, there's always the right tone / shade that matches your skin tone. like nude which i always think make me look dead, mac is the only one having the right shade of nude that doesn't make me looking like a dead / sick person.
