red earth cream eyeliner palette

makeup

i haven't seen red earth around for ages. i remember red earth as the australian version of the body shop in the early 1990's. it had the natural earthy image. it slowly changed to just another fashion cosmetic brand. the shops were everywhere in the late 1990's and early 2000's. then the shops seemed to have disappeared. i think you can only find this brand at priceline now.

the latest packaging is very modern and sleek. however i think the products are overpriced.

i quite like their lipsticks in the early days. reasonably priced. pretty earthy natural tones.

since it was repackaged to shu uemura style, ie the clear plastic packaging, i think that's where it goes downhill. the colors weren't pigmented. you don't get any color out of anything. eye shadows, blush, lipsticks... they sucked. i wasted so much money there!

i haven't tried anything since it was revamped again due to the price and the lost of faith in this brand.

but when things were marked down to $5, it doesn't hurt to give it a try. ^.^

red earth cream eye liner palette in winter fire

i got this cream eyeliner palette in winter fire. normally retailed at $24. it was the only choice in the mark down stash. it comes with 3 cute applicators, though i'm not sure i want to use them because they are so small and hard to control. based on the applicator, i think you can use them as eye shadow as well.

color swatches

here's the blurry color swatch. wine red, olive green and silver. looks very winter.

i tried the palette today. no pic because you can't see anything, as usual. :/

i used the olive green as eye shadow and top liner, the red liner at the end of the eye, the silver as bottom eye liner. the result is a very subtle smokey effect.

after 3 hrs the colors faded. but then it could be just me. if you know me, nothing stays on me.
