another rushing morning. overslept. watched too many dvds in late nights over the long weekend. we waited till both kids are in bed. that's the only time we can watch movies with peace of mind.

i don't normally time how long makeup takes. i don't wear a watch until just before getting out of the house. and watching the clock tick is too stressful.

i just knew it was really quick!

look of the day

this was taken inside garage so it was a bit dark. i tried to lighten the color and it turns out quite ashy. :/

i look washed out in pic. however in real life it's really soft and natural. really should invest in a better camera to give a better demonstration of my looks.

that's why i don't often post quick makeup looks.

i was rushing through and forgot to prime my lids. this has been a must-step since i got too faced shadow insurance. it reminds how quickly eyeshadows crease on me. by the time i arrived at the office and checked the mirror, the area between the lash and the crease has cleaned out to show my own skin! everything swam to the crease! luckily i chose a light skin-toned color so it wasn't too obvious. but it wasn't pretty... how did i live without primer in the past???

products used

dj cream concealer.

edm mineral powder foundation in fairly light neutral. i still find this is the quickest way to apply foundation. just close my eyes and swirl the brush on the face. because it closely matches my skin it doesn't matter if i missed any part of the face.

sn brow powder in light brunette. this can be darker if desired. i purposely applied it lightly.

laura mercier eye color in sandstone. it's shimmery light champagne in color.

napoleaon perdis long black mascara in double black. 2 coats.

bourjois contour clubbing eyepencil in black party. just tightlining the top lashline.

bourjois blush in rose d'or.

revlon matte lipstick in fabulous fig.
