makeuplook

pinkvember eotd

last month, october, was breast cancer awareness month. one the makeup themes at one of the fb groups i'm part of was 'pinktober'. i've been wanting to do that but always ended up doing something else. a recent makeup theme is to use eyeshadows to match your eye color. that's what i intended to do this morning. i even had it planned and had the eye shadows ready last night! but i ended up doing a pink look.

black rose minerals eyeshadows in candy floss at inner corner, hocus pocus at outer corner and the outer crease, the brain on lower lashline. top lashline was lined with brown from pf gel creamliner for brown eyes and set with brm eyeshadow in bloody kisses.

i forgot mascara... :/

hocus pocus is very pigmented and i managed to tone it down with ecotools eyeshadow brush from a set. i did a post comparing ecotool brushes and i didn't like brushes that came in a set. the eyeshadow brush from the set doesn't seem to pad colors well and somehow it now becomes a bonus when i want to use very pigmented eyeshadows lightly.

for the base, i used bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation in #72 and mineral radiance powder in #01.

on my cheeks, bourjois blush in rose d'or.

on my lips, evil shades deviant lipsticks in stiletto and silk naturals amplified lip glaze in dancing shoes. the latter gaves a pretty shine to my lips. wish i had a great closeup shot to show how pretty this combination is.
