my favorite eye liner tools - laura mercier caviar eye liner and flat eye liner brush.
eye liner has become an important part of my makeup routines. because i have eyes on my face! seriously yes! if i don't put on eye liners, i got questions like, 'are you sick?' 'are you tired?' ...
i used to use only pencils as eye liner until i discovered the wonders of cake liners and flat brush. from a makeover at laura mercier counter a few years ago.
the sounds of using the brush sounds intimidating because you have to line very close to the lash line. almost at the inner rim. i hated having things close in the eyes. hence eye liner wasn't an integral part of my makeup routine until that makeover.
yes, you want to use it very close to the lash line. it makes your eyes bigger. and depends on how you line your eyes it can make your eyes rounder or longer. it also makes your lash look fuller. this is a plus for me because i have short sparse lashes and i don't wear mascara.
because the price tag of laura mercier's brushes sounds too daunting, i went to look for cheaper versions.
the first one one i got was by bloom. it's cheaper than laura mercier. it's too hard and too wide. makes it more difficult to line the eyes. but it's good if you want to draw thicker lines.
then i found my new love. in the picture above. the brand is called artise and it's even cheaper! the brush is softer and not too wide. perfect to line my eyes. and you don't need to pick up a lot of colors too!
