this is an overdue post. i received this order last month. i've been putting it off mainly because i wasn't able to take clear photos of them.
since i've used them, i'll also review the eyeshadows.
i ordered some full size jars of some colors that i have previously sampled, and more samples of more colors i'd like to try. not long i put in this order, brm had 20% off sale. i was so tempted to order more from my wish list, but i decided i should hold on for a while. i have so many eyeshadows enough for the rest of the season! it's not an easy job to hold off!

the 6 sample jars. snow, sponge, sweet pea, confused, don't be brassy and two cents.

the colors don't look very exciting. the color i chose this time are more wearable. something for highlight and something more neutral for everyday looks.
i chose snow and sponge as highlight colors. both are shimmery. snow is very very white and sponge is more off-white, with slight golden tone.
i've tried these colors as an all-over color, as highlight for brow bone and as highlight at inner corner of the eyes. they're too shiny as all-over color and makes my eyes appears less dimensional. i'm not a fan of shiny brow bone - looks too 80's. for me, they're best used to highlight the inner corner of the eyes. if i have to choose one, i prefer sponge than snow, because snow is too white and too bright, looks odd if not blended properly.
i chose sweet pea because it looked pretty shimmery pink from the website. pretty girl kept nagging me to get a pink eyeshadow so i ended up choosing this color because it seems least less likely to make me appear sad. i chose it more to please her.
however when i got the color, it looked more lavender than pink and looked nothing like the color swatched from the website. even so, i'm not disappointed because i love the shimmery light lavender color. it's perfect as wash of color all over the eyes and is best friend with purple eyeliners <-- i've worn this looks several times but haven't been able to take nice clear pics :(
for neutral earthy colors, i chose confused and don't be brassy. i absolutely adore these colors. if you think browns are boring, you haven't tried interesting browns like these. i've done looks with confused and don't be brassy.
as for two cents, after successfully trying an orange looks with denver and have faith in orange tone eyeshadows, i chose i darker orange to play with. once again, i'm not disappointed! i love this color. check out my looks using this color.

the full size jars. lioness, candy floss, lilac to me, goose egg and earthen. i have sampled all colors except goose egg. it's one of the colors i on my sample wish list, but the sample deal allowed only 6 colors. in fact i made a mistake. i was going to choose confused as the full size but somehow i got mixed up with color names. i used goose egg in the golden bunny look.
lioness is one of my favorite colors from brm and my most frequently used color from this brand. the color is darker than my skin tone. i like using it for really simple looks, or using it as color on brow bone.
candy floss is a very pretty light pink. can be worned alone or pair up with other colors. i've used this to create my favorite looks.
lilac to me is my favorite violet. bright and vibrant. looks good wearing alone or with other colors. perfect color for spring. here's a look with this color.
i chose earthern for it's chocolate brown. who doesn't like chocolate?

2 more full size jars from the limited edition at 1/2 price.

squash is quite orange yellow. it was a free sample included with one of my previous orders. it's a color i doubt would look good on me, but... surprise! so i went ahead and ordered the full size.

halo is a beigy color. never sampled it, but ordered it anyway. it's 1/2 price!
i like to use this color on the brow bone. i can't use this color as wash of color because it creases after a few hours even with primer.
you probably have noticed that most of these colors can be worn alone. perfect for quick and easy looks. 99% of them have great staying powers and do not crease until something like 10 hrs later. by then i'm already home taking off my makeup.
there were some free samples included with this order. but it has been so long and i've mixed them with other samples, i can't remember what they were.
will i buy again? this was my 3rd order! what do you think?! i'm trying hard not to order more! while waiting for my next order to arrive...
