maybelline xxl curl power volume + length microfibre mascara in very black.

this was purchased many months ago when it was reduced to aud$5. i believe this has been discontinued or repackaged.

this mascara has 2 ends and requires 2 steps to apply.

step 1, the base coat.

step 2, the color.

what do i think?

a few months ago i used another xxl mascara, i didn't like it. the base coat was basically useless. i had problem getting the color out.

i have exatly the same experience with this!

blame it on old stock and drying out?

i don't like the curvy brush. it's too big! i find it extremely hard to use on my short and barely visible lashes. it can't even reach the lashes at inner corner of the eyes. if i try harder, i ended up with products on my skin. messy!

note to self. do not buy mascara with curvy brushes. i've had bad experiences with them!

just by looking at the name, it promises curl, volume and length. i need all of them!

unfortunately, it doesn't live up to its promise. it does not hold curls. my lashes falls straight down. my lashes are slightly more visible. but no signs of more volumne nor length.

the product smudges on my outer lower eyelids after an hour or so.

since it seems no longer available, i won't purchase again. not even if it's reduced to even lower price.
