mac cranberry swatch

mac eyeshadow in cranberry. my favorite eyeshadow of the moment.

it was an impulse buy many years ago. i wanted to buy a mac eyeshadow. i wanted something 'outrageous'. mac is best known for its variety of colors and i didn't want to buy something 'normal'. i regretted when i got home. i didn't know how to use it. it was hiding somewhere unreachable. i've not touched it for many years.

now that it's becoming my favorite, i use it whenever i can. i try to work around it.

i've not tried wearing this color alone. it's too bright and too dramatic. i prefer to soft the color with blending brush.

look of the day

the makeup is basically the same this. simple and neutral as shown in previous post. after reviewing my makeup for this week so far, they all seem 'flat'. so i blended cranberry to the crease to give some dimension.

cranberry neutral

comparing this with previous looks the eyes are less droopy (argh, sign of aging!) i looked less sleepy, though i'm always sleepy in mornings...

products used are more or less the same throughout this week. i always like to use differernt products everyday and it's rare that i've been using the same products consecutively.

here's a different look with mac cranberry i did a few weeks ago.

Sorry for the late reply. I really like the eyeshadow in cranberry you used for this look. The eyeshadow doesn't seem like it is overpowering at all. When I saw the swatch on your hand it looked more of maroon shade but when I saw the FOTD it looks really nice and soft.

@cynthia, pictures are usually lighter than what it's in real life. i also blended out the color so it doesn't look too dramatic. go to mac counter and try this color, it is very strong!!
