liquid eyeliner virgin

makeup

i'm quite into liquid eyeliners lately. i've never used liquid eyeliners before and it's definitely a challenge to do it right.

i like that the color of lines drawn from liquid eyeliner is more intense than lines drawn from pencils and cream eyeliners. it brightens the eyes even more! i know you can intensify colors by wetting the eyeshadow, but i don't have time to play with this in busy mornings.

i'd very much like to try gel liners but i don't see them in drugstore lines. the ones from mac and bobbi brown are too expensive.

i've collected quite a few eyeliners over past weeks.

the firsts were bourjois liner clubbing liquid eyeliners that were 50% off. the brush is really thin compared to most liquid eyeliners. but due to my lack of skill the lines went crooked and became thicker than expected as i tried to fix the lines.

the rest were savvy by db liquid eyeliners <-- i don't think they have website because i couldn't find it. products from savvy by db are really cheap. i was hesitated about buying them because they were made in china. but since i've never tried liquid eyeliners, i should start and practice with something cheap. they were under $5! amazingly i quite like these ones.

i was going to take pics of these products on the weekends but i didn't have time when there was good light. i will try again this weekend to swatch them.

i did a few looks drawn with these liquid eyeliners last few days. i'm able to guess which eyeliners were used but i can't remember details of other products used.

with savvy by db liquid liner in olive

using savvy by db liquid eyeliner in olive. a dark green. i like the color is not as striking as black yet it defines the eyes.

can't really remember what was on my lips. probably silk naturals lipstick in hot blooded.

with savvy by db liquid liner in olive

another look using savvy by db liquid eyeliner in olive. on my lips, revlon colorburst lipcolor in soft rose.

with savvy by db liquid liner in plum

using savvy by db liquid eyeliner in plum. a very pretty plummy color. it's barely noticible in the pic, that's because the color is quite subtle when compared to other liquid eyeliners. if you're worried about liquid eyeliners may be too dramatic, this is for you.

on my lips, revlon colorburst lipcolor in soft rose again.

with bourjois liner clubbing in electro blue

using bourjois eyeliner in electro blue. as you can see it's a very powerful color. i was wearing minimal makeup but this dramatized the whole look.this is truely waterproof because i had a hard time removing it with olive oil.

can't remember what was used on my lips. i think i mixed a few colors.

i also tried to do a double winged liner with this look, with sn cream eyeliner in tarnish, a dark grey, on the bottom. i think it's too dramatic for a see nai. this is more suitable for younger girls.

cynthiaSome how I'm not into liquid eyeliner because I tend to mess up and whenever I try to fix it, it gets even more messier and it's hard to come off. I need to find a liquid eyeliner that has a good point and angle. I invested a nyc one cause it was cheap but I didn't like the tip brush.

@cynthia, that was my exact thought! that's why i've not tried liquid eyeliner my whole life until now!
the savvy by db one is really easy to apply because the applicator is not really a brush, which makes it so much easeir to apply than normal liquid eyeliner. i'll do a review on it when i have time to take pics to show you what it's like.

Lindaits like using chinese mao-be(think of it in chinese.. lol) chinese calligraphy pen thingy in a smaller size, and draws a thin line and it feels soft after much uses.
