the best ever gift i get this year, from peony in love, the famous nars orgasm. from my days of reading alt.fashion newsgroup to the beauty blogsphere of today, people can't stop talking about it.
i've always wanted this. back in historical days, it wasn't available in australia. and when it was finally introduced in australia (along with many other things that weren't previously available), i was really excited. until i saw the price tags...
this blush is now aud$62 in australia. it's usd$26 (as shown on sephora). see the difference? i can't convince myself nor find any reason to justify such spending!
since i can't afford it, i went for the poor woman's version, silk naturals blush in climax , which is way way way more affordable. i love it!

now that i have both products, i'm able to compare. although climax claimed to be nars orgasm clone, they don't look the same. climax is more peachy and has more golden undertone. orgasm is more pink.

nars blush is quite sheer. it does show up in real life. it hardly shows up on camera even though i tried to apply more layers for photo taking purpose.
in real life application, they don't look too different. i'm usually very light handed with blush applications. i like the look of a flush of color through the skin instead of visibly noticible color on my cheeks like monkeys' butts.

It's so cute when you said poor women's version :) I only recently purchased my orgasm multi stick, i don't think it's the same as the powder blush, yeah I do get you about the stupid price in Australia, I take this as a treat :) 
Even though no matter how popular this is it doesn't seem to do justice on my cheeks. Since my face is so pale it doesn't bring any color to me and realized that it gives a nicer tone for those who has tan-ish skin tone. I tried to like this blush but it isn't giving me back love. =( 
@cynthia, since the color is so sheer i thought it should show up well for pale skin... i don't like the visible blush look so i quite like the flush of color look. 
i bought my orgasm a few years back and it's almost gone now. and now they came out with a Super Orgasm - it has thicker pigment and more goldish powder. it looks like when i sweep my blush brush over it, the powder will be everywhere. so i won't go with the super orgasm when i have to get a new blush in the near future.
