going bleu

one of my favorite blues. bourjois eyeshadow in 55 bleu myosotis.
i liked wearing blue eyeshadows when i was teenager. but i avoided this color most of my adult life because it looks dated. too 70's or 80's. of course i later realized it was my makeup skill. it wasn't applied correctly and i used the wrong blues.
laura mercier once released a beautiful blue quad. i had a makeover with that color and realized i didn't look too bad with blues. i didn't buy the quad because it's too expensive. i bought quite a few blues from cheaper brands. i also ordered so many blues from edm, when i was still crazy about the brand.
i still can't tell which blue suits me more. if applied subtlely, any blue should look good.
look of the day
one of my can't-get-it-wrong look. line upper and lower lashes with eye pencil of color of your choice. then set the lines with eyeshadow from the same tone.

with my eyes, the folds are hidden when they are opened. you can see when i look down.

now you don't see much of the colors with my eyes opened.
the eyes was lined with laura mercier kohl eye pencil in purple sapphire. it looks purple from the website. unless they changed the formula and the color tone, mine is blue with purple tone. line both upper and lower lashline, includeing the inner rims.
use a small brush with bourjois eyeshadow in blue myosotis over the eyeliners. then lightly pad the same color to fill in the whole fold area.
on my lips was sn lipstick in berry nice and glossed with sephora lipgloss in rosy glow.
the 1st pics shows more how the lips look like in real life. the 2nd pic was taken from a different angle and turns out darker.
