my glamour doll eyes order of 14 eyeshadows

my order from glamour doll eyes. there was 'customer appreciation sale', which is 50% off. what a good value!

i've thought about ordering the eyeshadows after watching some yt makeup tutorials and some demonstration of these eyeshadows on some blogs - mainly via phyrra and a brilliant brunette <--  these sites have colorful pics, which provide a better reference of colors and their usage than yt.

i've been thinking about ordering. in fact i've setup account and added some sample orders in shopping cart. then the owner tweeted that there'll be a sale coming up. so i waited and waited...

gde eyeshadow colors

the colors are basically blues, pinks, greys and browns. i ordered 14 so it meets the minimum requirement to get a free glamour gloss of my choice. i chose fashionista - a hot pink. just want something different than what i have.

these little pots come in 2 versions, with or without sifters. i chose with sifters because these loose powder can be messy. if tipped over, i'd lost everything. also with sifters i can control how much product to use. i'm a bit bumped that some didn't come with one because they ran out of sifters.

size comparison of gde, edm and sn

i've only bought mineral eyeshadows from 3 websites. the eyeshadow pot size comparison with edm and silk naturals. which are the same. the price varies.

for the edm, it was (past tense was used because i'm unsure if it's still the case now) sample size at $2.50 each.  however i bought it years ago when there was a special sample deals which ended up less than $2 each. this deal is no longer available since the website has gone through several changes. i read that the customer service isn't so great so i doubt i'll buy from this site any more. not to mention that the staying power of these eyeshadows isn't as good when compared with sn and gde.

this size is regular size at sn and gde. price $4 and $6 respecitvely.

the price quoted above are in usd$.

casual weekend looks

i'm into earthy tone recently, if you haven't noticed. and neutral earthy tones is perfect for casual looks. here are some looks with the brown tone colors.

i'm unsure about staying power of these shadows. because they're so close to my skin tone, you can hardly notice the creasing nor fading problem.

brown eye girl

wearing brown eyed girl. only one color was used on top and bottom lid. the edges was blended away with blending brush.

look of the day with brown eye girl

the look with brown eyed girl. it's a pretty warm brown. ever since i tried the vampire look and imagined that my eyes looks so much browner, i'm in love with brown and want to try different browns to see what works.

on my lips, glamour gloss in fashionista. somehow the color look more brown than pink in this photo.

the perfect cure and show off

wearing the perfect cure on top and lined the eyes with show off. the perfect cure is a light golden brown, very closed skin toned in color. show off is a darker shimmery brown.

look of the day with the perfect cure and show off

a different brown eye look.

on my lips, bobbi brown lipcolor in toasted pink. do not be fooled by the word pink in the name. this color is quite brown leaning towards orange tone.

which brown looks good?

CynthiaThe glamour eyeshadows looks lovely. I like the different shades that you got. Unfortunately I can't buy anymore eyeshadows, I have a lot at home that I even barely use. I still have Sigma the fun and the go kit and still haven't bother to touch that almost half a year. Thanks for the post!

@cynthia, i have the same problem. too many eyeshadows. i do use them, just not very often. you just need to play with them more often to use them up!
