bb cream by garnier. the miracle skin perfector spf15 in medium and light.
being asian you probably thought i've tried most bb creams out there.
wrong!
the only bb cream that i've tried is gowonsesang hydra intensive blemish balm. i quite like it texture wise. it has no color selection (as far as i know). it can make me look grey sometimes.
i am really excited to see an affordable bb cream is now available locally! in australia! it retails $13.95 and is available in chemists and priceline. (update: the pricetag at priceline says $13.99, which is 4c more than the information provided by garnier.)
now, 10 lucky readers of this blog has chance to win 2x garnier bb creams. enter giveaway here!

the tube.

the back of the tube.

both tubes look identical. without color labels. /sigh! to avoid mixing them up i have to put them in different drawers. the only problem is, i can't remember which color in which drawer.

the swatches
it comes in only 2 colors, medium and light.

colors squeezed at the back of my hand.

lightly blended.

fully blended. more products were used here so the coverage looks medium. it blends nicely into the skin and makes the skin appears flawless. medium is apparently darker than the back of my hand but it seems to blend nicely into the skin too.
my thoughts
as demonstrated above, the product can be easily blendable into the skin. the coverage is buildable, from sheer to medium coverage. personally i don't like too much product on my face and prefer sheer coverage.
i love that it has spf 15. i often forget to apply sunscreen and this makes up for it.
i love love love the scent. it smells so nice and soothing. it smells more like a moisturizer than a foundation.
as for the hydration goodness it promised? i have dry skin. using it alone does not help with hydrating. i still need a good nourishing moisturizer before application.
it does gives a good complexion visually provided you have a nice flawless canvas to begin with. my skin has been acting up in certain area and the sheer coverage doesn't help hiding the flaws completely. i tried to build a medium coverage with more product and it doesn't help much too. might as well using it sheerly which slightly improve the comlexion visually.
the color range is limited. it's not for you if your skin color is too pale or too dark.
light is a good match for me. not perfect. it's slightly lighter than my skin color. as you know, i like pale skin. because it's winter and i'm paler in winter days, it's not too bad. and since it's sheer coverage, it doesn't make my skin look grey.
medium is too dark. once again, because it's sheer, i can build a tanned look without looking too off. however i'm not a fan of tanned skin. even though i do tan slightly in summer, i don't think my skin will go any darker to make it a match. we'll see when summer comes.
as tinted foundation, i like it. as moisturizer, it fails. as skin care, i haven't used long enough to see any effects yet.

here's me wearing garnier bb cream in light. it makes my skin appears paler without looking too grey.
on my lips, de leon cosmetics tinted lip balm in red as base and morgana crytoria lip balm in solar flare.
garnier bb cream and de leon cosmetics lip balm were sent for review.
