i read about some good reviews about ecotools bamboo brushes. i never realized they're sold here. i mean i've seen these brushes at stores, and somehow i just didn't notice the name of the brand.

i've never seen the complete range. only some here and there. i bought these separately at different locations at different times when they were slightly marked down.
i quite like these brushes.
the blush brush is thicker and dense than my current one by red earth, which i've been wanting it to retire but haven't been able to find a replacement until now.
the angle eyeliner brush is stiffer than my current one by mac, which i use mostly to draw my brows. application-wise they're the same.
the eye shading brush is just another eyeshadow brush. i have a few different sizes of brushes which technically are for different purposes. but i just use them to apply eyeshadow and rotate them until they're all dirty and need a wash.
the only brush i'm unsure about is foundation brush. i've never used foundation brush so i don't know if that's how it's supposed to work. it makes foundation application less messy. however it seems to require almost 2x the amount than when applied with fingers.
i do have another david jones branded foundation brush but it's mostly used to apply concealers. most typical concealer brushes are small for precision application. however i find it easier to apply with bigger brush esp using to cover up undereye circles. i have no problem applying on hard-to-reach areas such the side of nose and corner of mouth with this brush.
however using ecotools foundation brush to apply concealers just doesn't feel the same. maybe this is really a foundation brush built specifically for foundation application.

my existing mac powder brush. i don't know the number because it's faded. it's usually used it for loose powders or applying highlights. i haven't used it for ages and when i recently used it again, i hate it. the hairs keep falling all over my face. i don't remember it had this problem before!
this is one brush that i want to replace. ecotools would be a cheap replacement but i've not seen it sold individually anywhere. i've seen it as a set but i already previously purchased other brushes.
ultimately i'd like to get one of sigma brush sets. not sure which one yet. however i'm trying to hold off spending.
i know, i keep saying how i'm not going to spend and i keep buying...
