browsing makeups

makeup

everytime i go shopping i love checking out makeups. even though i've seen the same thing again and again. there aren't much to see here. the brands and stocks are limited. but it's good killing about 10min of my time in the small drugstore cosmetic section.

revlon matte lipstick swatch

testing out the red colors from revlon matte lipstick. if i remember correctly the colors from left to right are strawberry suede, really red, in the red and fabulous fig.

i like really red and in the red. however i didn't buy them. don't feel like spending $20 on something that i might not like. a too expensive toy. i also have similar reds in my collection.

cover girl clean foundation

covergirl's repackaged clean foundation.

i don't use many products from this brand. i haven't read much about this product online so i wasn't as excited as when i spotted revlon's photoready foundation.

testers were available. i had to play with them.

when i opened the bottle, whew! the smell! i can't tell what kind of fragrance it is but it's definitely not my cup of tea. i could still smell it after hours of tested at the back of my hand. i purposely didn't wash my hand to see how the the smell lingers.

now i remember why i never tried covergirl's foundations.

i don't know how much they are. can't find any price information. i really hate that they don't clearly mark the price. you can scan it - you need to look for a scanner and most times they don't work!

like mother like daughter?

pretty girl looking at makeup

pretty girl browing makeups too!

it's not fun when browsing makeups with her around. she wants to try everything! esp if it's pink!

CynthiaThere are times that I like to go to Drugstore just to kill time. Unfortunately in the US drugstores we don't have a tester. Everything is seal up and buy at your own risk and I believe there's no refund if the product are opened.

That's strange the Revlon Photo Ready foundations doesn't have a smell to it, from some youtube reviewers a lot of people said there is no smell to it. I even tried it out and I don't recall that there was a smell.

Oh boy my daughter and your daughter is a like and I think they will become best of friends once they walk in to Sephora store they will be coming out like a clown. My daughter goes in the store and loads up her face whatever she can grab and finish off with a red deep shade of lipstick.

@linka, thank you! :)

@cynthia, i thought in the US the return policy is very generous. i read that if you use a product and change your mind (including choosing a foundation that does not match), you can return it, no questions ask. it's here in australia returning cosmetic item is very difficult... due to health reasons - wth, they want to resell it, even tho you tell them the product has gone bad.

oh, the photoready foundation doesn't have the smell. it's the covergirl clean foundation that has a really strong grandma smell to it.

i brainwash pretty girl to use only lip balm on her lips. it protects her lips so that when she grows up she has nice lips that when lipstick is applied, they look extra beautiful. i know, a lot of bullshits... lol!
