main color used on the eye is edm eyeshadow in thank you. it's coppery in color. i was afraid to use it because i was worried it's too red for the eyes. i don't want to look like i was crying.
a few months ago i tried a pink valentine makeup look (tutorial here). i don't have the exact pinks so i just used what i had. i looked like i cried. people did asked if i was alright... i asked jen and she advised choosing a pink with more red in it. i still haven't found that pink. but i thought maybe red wouldn't be too bad.
so when i randomly lucky-dipped this color this morning, i thought i could give it a try. it's also perfect for autumn.

edm eyeshadow in thank you at outer corner of the eye. blend into the crease.
sn eyeshadow in sandy (pearly shimmery pink) from inner corner and blend to the above color. also used the same color on the inner 1/2 of bottom lid.
sigma makeup eyeshdow in lady jane (green) to line outer 1/2 of bottom lid.
sigma makeup eyeshadow in play with fire (orangy bronzy) across the whole bottom lid.
bourjois contour clubbing waterproof eyepencil in black party to tightline the upper inner rim.
bourjois contour clubbing mascara in absolute black.
note about the mascara. i previous gave it a bad review. i thought maybe it's the wand. i used a cleaned old mascara wand. big chunk of product glued to the wand, making application difficult. my eyelashes was a mess. even the husband noticed it's awful when looking closely.
of course i had to try my new brushes. on the odor front, some smells, some don't.
sigma's smaller eyeshdow brush (can't remember the number, will look up) was used to pad the eyeshadows.
sigma's pencil brush was used to line my bottom lash line. i love it! i have an existing pencil brush but it's fatter and makes the line too thick. this is just perfect!
i also like the bonus blending brush. it really blends the color really well. but i just can't get past the smell of this brush. i could smell it while blending. it's not even close to my nose!

thankfully the lousy phonecam did not pick up the messy lash. maybe they're too short to be noticible!!

this is me about 4 hours after makeup. maybelline's sensational lipcolor in let me pink was on my lips. the look looks so much better when i reapplied with this lipstick after lunch.

this was how i looked like this morning straight after makeup.
i so wanted to try the nude lip look again because i love cynthia's look. she mentioned that she mixed neutrogena's just whisper with a pinkish tone to achieve the look. i mixed rimmel's celeb with neutrogena's just whisper. not only it ruined the look, this also makes my lips look so big, like a big pair of sausages! >.>
rimmel's celeb is a pretty pink color. it's more suitable for spring / summer. i'll do a post about it.
