2 eyeshadows

quick and easy bright purple smokey eyes with only 2 eyeshadows, by gossmakeupartist.
wayne is one of my favorite makeup gurus on yt. his tutorials are easy, simple and practical. i also like to watch his product reviews. if he doesn't like something, he'll explain why. very educational.
a lot of makeup tutorials on yt use a million colors. ok, i'm exaggerating. but you know, they use so many colors. even though i have a lot of eyeshadows, i don't have as many colors as they do. and a lot of times, you don't see the first few colors used. i tried to simplify their looks but often the results aren't desirable.
he's so to-the-point that you don't need to use that many colors.
i tried to recreate less dramatic versions. more suitable for work. (though there are times i don't 'follow the rule' and go to work with dramatic eyes.)
soft purple look

this was what i went to work with on thur. i've been wanting to do another purple look since my previous incomplete attempt.

eyeshadows used: laura mercier mineral eye powder in milky way (discontinued, it's pinkish white in color) and bourjois ombre stretch eyeshadow in stretching demin.
on my lips, maybelline color sensational lipcolor in blushing brunette. this is brownish in color but look pinkish in the photo.
subtle cranberry eyes

eyeshadows used: laura mercier mineral eye powder in milky way (again!) and mac eyeshadow in cranberry. cranberry is a very strong color. i used sigma makeup's blending brush (they changed the brush numbering system and i don't know what they call it now) to blend and soften the color.
oh yes, the inner corner wasn't blended properly... :(

i don't normally post 'looking down' photos because they don't usually turn out nicely. for once i can show off the colors on my eyes this way!
on my lips, a reddish lip pencil as base and silk naturals lipstick in berry nice. it looks like 2 different colors in the above photos due to different direction of the sun. they were taken in moving car.
