@tricia, spicy! lol! i used to use this excuse to get the kids stay away with it. doesn't work on the boy because he likes spicy food now. semi-worked on the girl - she'll say, open a new package and don't put the spices in... so i'll let them eat it once a long while. i remember i love eating it as a little kid and my mom wouldn't let me touch it. i think having junk food once a little while doesn't hurt.

Instant noodles are my comfort food after a cold day. I always buy the korean spicy ones. I add an egg and some seaweed (I soak the dried seaweed in 1 big batch, divide them into small ziplock bags to throw in the freezer for use at any time). I've never given them to the kids though, I just say it is spicy, haha! Their junk comfort food is macaroni and cheese.

I just had an instant noodle after reading your post. I normally like the Korean Instant Noodle because they are thick and filling.

I also like the spicy soup base pack that is in the packet of the instant noodle. I like to add in vegetables and egg (not popping the yolk) in it, which makes is more favorable.

I don't often eat it because it's not good in health wise, it's like junk food.
